WVCC Club 10s – Practice 10 – 3rd May 20
Wow was it windy tonight!! A tough night for all, with an unusual head wind off the start and indeed all the way to Toft and the turn back into Middlewich Road for the last 3.something miles! Tonight was about a solo practice and for setting a handicap time for this year’s 10s (unless you […]
M&DLCA & East Lancs RC 10’s – 29th April
Due to popular demand (from Jim Duffy as he hates writing reports), I am posting my first TT report of the Year. Jim posted the others because this year I started racing much later than usual due to various holidays and annoying things like work getting in the way of my cycling. The afternoon started […]
WVCC Club 10s – Gents 2-Up – 26th April
A windy night, but at least it was dry! There was a dark cloud looming in the sky, but it looked as though we’d avoid it bar the odd spot of precipitation. Seven pairs lined up and four solo riders, and thus, this year’s club 10s began… Results below. Next week, the setting of handicaps […]

VTTA National Championship 10 mile TT
Manchester and NW hosted the VTTA [Veterans Time Trial Association] National Championship 10 mile TT , on the J2/1, Months Heath to Knutsford Road. It was interesting that I could hear many woeful complaints after riders had finished, about the ‘sporting nature of the course’ and the’ very rough road surface’.. people came from all […]

WVCC Cat & Fiddle Hill Climb 2016
Nice day for a hill climb. The sun was out, the wind was light, and riders gathered early, eager to sign on and get prepared for the ride. Even from the start riders, it looked to be a reasonably fast day, and there was an air of competitive spirit that saw the faster riders battle […]
