WVCC “Virtual” Club 10 TT – Round 7 results Tonight’s seventh round of the Virtual Club 10 saw 12 entrants line up. Tonight we had a guest rider, Stavros Avramidis, from Chester Tri Club. Stavros actually helped me set this all up as my “test pilot”. I’ve known him for a while and, give the […]

WVCC “Virtual” Club 10 TT – Round 6
WVCC “Virtual” Club 10 TT – Round 6 results Tonight’s sixth round of the Virtual Club 10 saw 11 souls go mad in the evening shade. It must have been the near tropical conditions outside (or “turbo lag”) that affected most people tonight as the times were generally slower . Tonight’s results as follows:- Men’s1st […]
WVCC “Virtual” Club 10 TT – Round 5
WVCC “Virtual” Club 10 TT – Round 5 results Tonight’s fifth round of the Virtual Club 10 saw all . You would think with an improvement of 46 seconds off your PB that Eleanor Underhill would be a dead cert finisher for the most improved person of the night. That would ordinarily be the case […]
WVCC “Virtual” Club 10 TT – Round 4
The fourth round of the Virtual Club 10 saw everyone finish. Most improved this week was Rob Dacey who took 65 seconds off his PB! Other notable improvers were Alex Chaffey-Green (-41 seconds) and Adrian Japp (-26 seconds) with no electricals! Tonight’s results as follows:- Men’s 1st – Matthew Heath – 22:092nd – Sam Taylor […]
WVCC “Virtual” Club 10 TT – Round 3
Tonight’s third round of the Virtual Club 10 saw everyone who finished improve on their previous times to record a PB. There must have been a favourable “virtual” wind”! Time improvements ranged from 32 seconds to 1 second. Well done everyone. Unfortunately Ady had a “virtual” mechanical and retired. Tonight’s results as follows:- Men’s 1st […]
M&DTTA Awards Lunch
After a solid year of time trials for the club with more people racing than ever, it was fitting that Caroline and Dave Fearon didn’t go to the M&DTTA (Manchester and District Time Trialling Association) awards lunch alone this year. Instead seven of us comprising of The Fearons, Carol & Dan, Titch, Sam and I […]
Weaver Valley CC – Hill Climb 2019
It was hill climb time again this Sunday and this time we had already been through the loop, so things were a bit less stressful, only a bit mind! Yet again people came up trumps and we had all our helpers and Marshals lined up and ready to go. Quite a few new faces […]
BDCA 100- the beating of the 4 hour barr...
By Sam Taylor BDCA 100 07/09/19 After doing my first 100 mile tt in July, I was keen to have another go at hopefully dipping under 4 hours and doing a 25mph ride, so Dave Fearon encouraged me to enter the BDCA event on the A100/4 course (on the A50 near Uttoxiter) which is known […]
Port Talbot 25 and a new PB
By Alistair Stanway. Inspired by a man half my age after his superb ride in the 100 yesterday I travelled to South Wales today to have a crack at the fast R25/3H course for the Port Talbot CC 25. Keen to see what we could knock out and hunting a 25 PB. According to the […]
Withington Wheelers 10TT – J2/3
We’re steadily heading toward the end of the road racing and time trialling season, and today’s 10TT by Withington Wheelers was a late add on after an event was cancelled with bad weather (I think!) earlier in the year. For the last J course 10 of the season, the entrants were Sam Taylor, Lynsey Astles, […]
A Long Time In The Saddle
Number 16 30 seconds 10 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, GO, good luck. Does this sound familiar? Of course it does you know how a time trial works by now. But this wasn’t the start of it all for me. It was way back at Oulton Park talking to Adrian Japp and Dave Fearon about […]
Titch’s debut 12hr TT
When you journey thru the distances of TT’ing, it is usual to do it in a progressive manner, spending a few years riding 50’s, and 100’s before venturing into the realms of a 12hour TT.. However, Titch turned the convention book on its head by only riding 10’s, a couple of 25’s and just one […]
