When you journey thru the distances of TT’ing, it is usual to do it in a progressive manner, spending a few years riding 50’s, and 100’s before venturing into the realms of a 12hour TT..

However, Titch turned the convention book on its head by only riding 10’s, a couple of 25’s and just one 100 before he dipped his toe in the water  and just like his 1st 100, he stuck to the schedule that Dave Fearon had developed for him with great success.

Starting with a schedule to complete 240 miles was ambitious and both Dave and I where a bit nervous before the start that if Titch slipped behind he would become disheartened and go even slower.  Surfice to say we needn’t have worried..

Titch ended up with a provisional 245 miles for 10th place overall and more importantly is our club champion in this discipline … well done Titch. with a bit of luck Titch will blog about how it was from the novice riders perspective.

The event was won by Congleton CC’s Ben Norbury with 282 miles.
