It appeared that the slight change in climatic conditions with sporadic heavy showers punctuating the sweltering heat, gave rise to what is sometimes deemed in time trialling terms as a ‘floater'(!) Perhaps perfect conditions for some excellent times. In some respects, it’s a shame that this wasn’t Guardian Cup round 5, as there would have been some impressive point scoring! Despite it being 2 up and tandems, there were only 2 – 2 ups, 1 – 3 up (practicing for the 4 up!!!), 1 tandem and the rest opting to go solo.
