A swift and uneventful ride to Two Mills today with a good size group. The outward trip started in the rain but this eased after an hour or so. We rode through Tarporley, Tattenhall, Churton then up through Chester, onto the old train track to Saughall – the return trip was direct through the Forest. With us were new riders Roger (who did a fantastic job on the front for long sections) and Kev, along with triathlete Andy, Graham, John Conboy, John Keen, Vince, Chris and Matt, Chris Latter (who kept saying he was going to cut the ride short and return to Bunbury but somehow never did), Kevan and me. Dylan was with us till Beeston then peeled off.
We met Keith and Dave Astles at the cafe and they joined us for the return leg, much of which was fast and singled out. A big bunch stayed together through the Forest then young Matt raced off the front for an excellent sprint win to the sign at Hatchmere.
I finished with 66 miles and an average speed of 17.4 mph on my clock.

Why didn't you stay with us Dylan? Much better than riding on your own!
Nice blog Eleanor! Looking forward to the Cheshire Cat next weekend? I've put a post up on the forum, we are hoping to meet up beforehand and start together (team photo!) if you're up for it!
Yes we'll be there – will be nice to have the photo for the blog – see you then Woody – where we you this morning incidentally?!
I enjoyed it much more on my own. ๐
I was there by the door with Kris and Jules! The organisers put out a Tweet this morning saying they were looking forward to seeing Weaver Valley CC on Sunday so hopefully we might get some coverage!
