A great turn out for the first club 10 of the Year on Wednesday with 22 riders. Conditions were good with little wind and dry conditions following a short shower 1 hour before the start. A new season and some new names in the 10’s and some of these with obvious form. Winner on the […]

Club 10’s 2018 – Final Cup Competition R
2018 was a classic Year for the club 10’s with great weather, lots of PB’s, good participation and an exiting battle for points in the cup competitions. It is very unusual for the winner to take a maximum 125 points but this Year both winners did just that. Traditionally the Guardian Cup is won […]
Final Fling – 15th August 2018
A poor turn out for the Final Fling which is a shame as the club 10’s have been very well attended this Year. It was a bit windy and cloudy but nobody got wet. D.James (visitor) won with a 23:56 and best WVCC rider was Emily who capped off a cracking Club TT season with […]
WVCC Club 10’s – Round 11 – 8th Aug 2018
The final round of the season long club 10 competitions but of course we wrap up the 10’s next week with the Final Fling. Come along and enjoy a celebratory shandy at the Crown after the event on 15th August. The result of Round 11 below but you will have to wait until next week […]
Club 10’s – Round 10 – 1st August 2018
Congratulations to Emily for taking maximum scratch points and a well deserved second place overall in the Scratch competition. She was beating herself up last week for going backwards but the momentum is definitely moving the other way now in time for the peak season. It seems like a very long season this year, probably […]
Club 10’s – Round 9 – 25th July 2018
A good night again this week with warm but still conditions. Jim Duffy realized that his lack of racing didn’t translate into lack of form last week, so came back from more. he improved again and took the wind easily. Stu Ward is also on fire with a PB just pipping Paul Connor by 2 […]
Guardian Cup / Scratch Comps – Latest af
Last weeks 10 affected several competitions but the podium for the 10 champs made little difference to the Guardian Cup. Mike Lodge was knocked off top spot with a rugby tackle by ever improving Carl Hitchenson. Clearly the cross training is paying dividends! Third man on the champs podium Paul Connor LEEp frogged Craig into […]
WVCC Club 10 Championship – 18th July 20
Great turn out for the club champs plus the added interest of Guardian Cup points due to the cancellation of the previous week’s race due to the World Cup. Jim Duffy came out of temporary retirement to post a cracking time of 22:39, less than 30 seconds behind his PB for this course. Another rare […]
Guardian Cup / Scratch Competition Lates...
It’s hotting up with people swapping places as they build up their best 5 rides. Not many left now so make sure you don’t miss out if you want to dis-LODGE our Guardian Cup leader. Colin Carthy has been leapfrogged by Craig Lee who is satisfying his itch in the scratch competition. Only if you […]
Club 10’s – Round 7 – 4th July 2018
Clearly, everyone is getting used to the warm, dry, near perfect conditions that we have been riding in lately, as the times are improving, week on week. A healthy field of 23 turned out and enjoyed the evening sun. Paul Connor did a flyer this week, looking good ahead of next week’s Warrington Road Club […]
Club 10’s – Guardian Cup & Scratch Com
I finally got around to putting together the cup competition tables now that we are just over half way through this Year’s series. So far the 10’s have been pretty well supported and certainly up on last season so thanks to the riders who have taken part to date. At this point it starts to […]
Club 10’s – Round 6 – 27th June 2018
Phew what a scorcher! Great evening for sitting outside a pub with a nice cold drink, but failing that maybe a breeze from a gentle bike ride would do the trick (I think not). 20 brave souls battled with the humid conditions but some PB’s were achieved so clearly we have some sun lovers in […]
