Come and have a go at the recently improved Chase Trails. Follow the Dog is 7 mile intermediate cross country course with plenty of varied terrain. There is also a downhill area a short ride away which is worthy of a look. Cafe, shop etc on site. See http://www.chasetrails.co.uk/index.php for more information.
Meet at 10am at the Birches Valley car park, WS15 2UQ, GR018171 and use the lower car park to avoid the Christmas tree sales.
Don't think I'll do the IoM End to End El, although it looks like a cracking event – I saw it on Eurosport a few years back. Need to think up some other challenges though – how about a Bob Graham mtb round? Does anyone know if anything like this existists?
Nick, I saw Gareth and Matthew at the track and they're both going to Cannock – not sure who else is going – we're happy to drive and can probably take two more, what are your plans? Not sure how long it takes to get down there?
I'm up for giving the midlands a go. Will gratefully accept the offer of a lift if there is a space going, although if someone needs it more than me I can drive by myself but unfortunately can only get one bike in my car. Reckon it should take just over an hour to get there.
Just over an hour, quickest route is past Stone towards Rugely I think. I can fit one in, so could collect Mathew if El & Kev pick up Gareth – I'll make a couple of calls. Andy Beswick will probably join us later on.
Just been looking at some of the videos on the links from the chase trails website and the downhill stuff looks really good. I'll have my video ready for anyone venturing over the jumps and drop offs!
