Thanks to Nick for the following run report…
Alan Silver took one group and Paul Lawson led the rest of us (about 18 to start with) along the lanes through Nantwich and Wybunbury to Dagfields for an early lunch. 12 of us enjoyed beans or the local delicacy; Staffordshire oatcakes, gallons of tea and victoria sponge. Just as well I had the extra cake, as a steady short ride out was made up for with a brisk, circuitous ride back past Cholmondeley Castle, Bickerton and Beeston. It was good to get out on a clubrun as I don’t make many, to catch up with people and meet some of the new/returning members – I don’t think the club has ever been more vibrant. Lovely sunshine and a helpful tailwind made it all the more pleasant – thanks Paul, you know the Cheshire lanes as well as Ross knows the Delamere singletrack!
