Well another great day out thanks to Nick. Cannock Chase is really good fun and especially so when it is all frozen solid……………no mud………yipee!
The trail is about 7 miles round and has an excellent mix of single track and gravel roads. There is not too much climbing and there are lots of fast flowing singletrack sections to test your skills.
Quite a gang out today, Eleanor, Nick, Matt Hornby, Kevin, Rob Jones, Andy Boyle, Richard, Gareth and Steve, apologies if I forgot any one.
Not satisfied with one run round we went again then had some lunch before going yet again! Still helps when you know what is coming. Probably the funniest thing was Gareth and Matt both finding it impossible to ride the one metre wide boardwalk without falling off the edge, particularly galling for Matt as he managed to ride the bit that was only six inches wide first time round!
Anyway a good day out and thanks to Nick for organizing it.
Cannock Chase Frozen Solid
Reading Time: < 1 minute
It was a great ride. Thoroughly enjoyed it for a number of reasons
1. I never fell off. Came close tho'
2. The bacon butty in the cafe
3. Although it was cold I never lost the feeling in my toes
4. The banter with all those other brave soles who turned up
….well done Nick, and thanks for the lift. Kev
+1 all of that.
Nick, I am going to ride the Macc Wheelers supercross on 27th, anyone else going to Man Up and join us?
Anyway other business, here is the URL for Elenors latest bid for internet domination!

Thanks for doing the post and the video Richard – came out really well. Enjoyed the trail, somewhere between Delamere and Llandegla in terms of technicality( that was someone else's comment – sorry I can't remember who) we must do it again sometime.
I'll have a go at posting the video I took and am dusting off the old mountainbike – which is currently on the turbo trainer – in rediness for the Macc Wheelers Supacross. It's our chance to be the first WVCC riders with Ross, Kev and El missing it!
I've got an old mountain bike if anyone wants to borrow it.. I have entered the Hit the North tho' and I'm reaaly tempter to do that Isle of Man thing in Sept 2010
Hi Kevin the url for the end to end thing is http://www.manxe2e.org/categories/view/4
We've entered and so have a couple of friends from Leeds – we've got a women's team of 3 and a men's team of 2 who need a third so it would be brilliant if you entered too. We could travel over together…
