This year, WVCC are organizing the TLI Cycling National Road Race Championships on the Siddington circuit on the 12th August. This will be an all-day event with 2 races in the morning and 1 race in the afternoon.

This is a prestigious event for our club to organise, and in order to make it a success, we our emmbers to help!

Help will mainly be in the areas of marshalling, but also other tasks, such as assisting with sign-on, or refeshments and other duties at the Siddington Village Hall – HQ for the day.

Marshalling is the key area for the event, and we have 11 marshalling points, each requiring a minimum of 2 marshals (some requiring 3), and 3 races during the day.

We’re therefore calling for volunteers to fill the positions. There are no club rides on the day, so why not ride out and help?

On the day, the first race starts at 10 am, second at 10.15am and the 3rd race at 1.30pm.

Marshals will be required to report to Siddington village hall  1 hour before the racing starts to sign on and stay there until the race briefing for marshals has been completed before going to their appointed position.

Please email Graham Gregory – graham@weavervalleycc.org.uk  – with your availability for some or all of the day. It is set to be fantastic day of racing, and a great event to get involved with.
