This is a quick message to urge all cyclists, not just club members, to only ride solo whilst you are out on your bikes for the forseeable future. Only go out once a day, and avoid all contact with others (2 metre rule).
We’ve seen an appalling lack of compliance to advice given thus far in this country, and even this last weekend, large groups of cyclists out (not WVCC).
By doing this, you are risking you life, the lives of others you ride with, and the lives of your family if you contract this virus whilst out.
Ask yourself if it’s worth it? The answer is an emphatic no. Please, don’t ride in groups until this is all over and we get the all clear.
In Beijing, they are getting over it, and people are starting the venture out, so there is an end in sight.
