Matt and I raced at Salt Ayre on Tuesday night, it was mild and the rain stayed off although the circuit was a bit damp so we couldn’t go flat out around the bends. It is a short, flat circuit and surrounded by trees so there was not a lot of wind either. A full but restricted field started and both Matt and me were involved with the constant attacking, both going with and instigating. It has to be said that Matt did masses of work all through the race & is stronger than I have ever seen him. It was a very quick night, about 27mph average so nothing managed to stay away. There was a bunch sprint and both Matt and me came 4th in our respective age categories so not bad for a first outing. Looking forward to the next one.
