Four of us made the start of this year’s race (Ross missed out) but Kev Underhill had the misfortune to snap his chain fairly early on. It was a well run event with over 150 riders racing round a varied course with everything you would expect for mtb or cyclocross – a bit of a hybrid, cyclocross bikes probably being an advantage, but mtb more fun on the descents.
Matthew Pritchard – Revolution Bikes took the honours, I finished 32nd and Matthew 37th with Matthew’s brother Ed just holding off Kev Campbell who finished a credible 3rd in his category. Thanks to Kev C for the analysis above.

Not sure if Ross will be pleased with his 133rd place, but a 14.48 first lap was up amongst the leaders!
It was a a tough job getting the flight back home and back to Turin. I didn't have the time for a second one!
Cant believe that I DNF'd in a race I never started!!
Ross
Hard lines Ross, you missed a good one – sunshine too! Mind, I bet the skiing made up for it.
Oh no, another of Kevin's dispiriting performance graphs!
Some more picures here, http://www.photoboxgallery.com/gallery/collection?album_id=321261290 a couple of nice ones of Professor Kevin and one of Nick near the end. The bloke offered to send the full size images for free on STW forum if you e-mail him.
Very early details for a HtN summer event, looks interesting.
