A great time was had by all – Matthew riding in a pair with brother Ed as the Prestwich Dynamos. Derek, Kev C and me making up the Weaver Valley CC team. 8 hours round a 6.5 mile course near Whitefield ; all sorts of terrain including some nice new bermed singletrack. One rider from each team out on the course at a time while the others ate, drank and cleaned the mud off their drivechains.
Matthew acheived the quickest laps among us, Kev got lost on his first lap and Derek broke his chain on his second lap! Apart from that, fairly incident free. The organisation, timing system, marshalling, beer tent and food afterwards were good, the DJ, hmm not so sure about. But those of us who stayed made the most of it.
