Alan Kemp’s wife Steph has kindly offered to provide a First Aid Training course for club members.

The course will consist of life threatening injuries/ailments eg; Cardiac Arrest & CPR, C spine injury, shock, anaphylaxis and head injuries. Plus life changing
injuries/ailments eg; injury/fracture to the back, pelvis, femur, chest
(ribs), epilepsy & diabetes. The course will not be certificated and
there will be no formal assessment but everyone will be encouraged to
perform CPR on the manikin.

Steph is qualified as an instructor and assessor and has gained HSE approval to provide these skills on a professional basis. Steph has offered to do the course free of charge but we can give donations towards her Brownie Unit. So I suggest a donation of £5 per person to cover this and the cost of hiring the room.

The course will be at Hartford Social Club and last 3 hours starting 7pm with a short break – the bar will be open. Numbers will be restricted to 12 per session and so far we have booked Mondays 21 May and 25 June, but we can arrange more if there is demand.

Please let me know if you wish to attend either of these sessions.
