Meet at the Station cafe as usual at 10am. All abilities welcome. We may split into two groups, technical and less so. Either way, you won’t get left to fend for yourself in the dark wood. If you don’t think the forest is challenging enough, then we’ll show you different!
There is much more to go at than you might think, and all half an hour’s ride from Northwich.

thanks nick – you put together a few nice sections yesterday. good to see a couple of your roadie mates joining us aswell.
Cheers Andy, such alovely morning, it’s a same some of the regulars missed it. But 8 riders in total isn’t bad and I thought young Reid did a great job on the tricky technical bits. Good to see that Les had dusted off his mountain bike (probably needed a bit more than a dust after those muddy sections)and Mike from the Warrington learning some new trails.
Yes, I enjoyed that on Saturday. Thanks Nick.
Has anyone else sent their entry in for the Lee Quarry race next Monday? I won’t be out on Saturday, prefer to ride the race, and I can’t do both.
I’m not riding the race cos I just ride for fun off-road. Anyway my bike’s too heavy and I can’t afford to buy a light one the rate I go through them. Seriously though, if anyone wants a lift to Lee Quarry on Saturday I can take one plus bike.
Anyone doing the Borderlands Challenge the following weekend? I’ll probably will and may go over the Wayfarer afterwards as Rhiwlas is only a few miles from Llanarmon DC.
i won’t be doing the monday race as she’s already made plans however not ruling out a future one. i’ll be making my own way there on saturday as i may not be coming back to northwich after the ride. where we meeting up nick? as for the 9th, thats a no aswell, its my birthday and ‘riding the Borderlands Challenge’ doesn’t constitute as a valid gift from the misses! there’s some great footage of lee quarry on utube so lets hope for some good news from the weathergirl
I am going to be racing on Monday but I am apparently putting up a fence on Saturday!! so I will have to see what its like charging round on Monday. I will give Matt a lift, is there anyone else wanting to come? space for one more
Derek
Okay then, I have an idea for a night ride, I mentioned it in an earlier post. The plan would be to start at 7 or 8 oclock and go for a longish ride upto 4 hrs, however there would be a pub stop in this somewhere. We would use the late evening light for a while to ride the hard stuff then light up for the rest of the ride. We can do a loop around delamereand or northwich I have a few in mind. If possible i’d like to do one on the 9th of May, Let me know who’s up for it. Thanks
Ross
I’m going to a wedding on 9th. :o(
Would ‘big’ lights be required for this, or would I get away with my Davy Lamp and an additional helmet candle?
Big bag of carrots should do it!!!!
IS anyone else able to come?
Thanks ross
Probably doing the Borderlands Challenge as it’s a really good route – don’t you fancy it Ross? Kevan may do it too. I can’t see me doing this and a night ride!
