Follow this man through the forest if you can! Here is Ross in action at Brown Backs Racing’s Lea Quarry event (thanks to them for the pic). He always seems to find some undiscovered trails, so don’t miss out.
All abilities welcome and we can split into two groups if it suits. We certainly won’t leave you lost in the forest. Meet at the station cafe at 10am.
Quite a number of takers already.
And don't forget, if it's raining its not half as bad in the forest as out on the roads, as Tom Boonen will testify! Ouch.
Tremendous turnout – 15 riders is a record for a club off road ride in recent years with three newcomers. One was even a complete stranger (Chris who really enjoyed the ride)pressganged on his way to the cafe by Kevan.
Kevin and son Jack were out on their new bikes and definitely up to the challenge. Andrew and son James made a welcome return and all kept together led by Ross with his brilliant local knowledge. He even discovered a section of singletrack new to him which turned out to be flowing and slightly downhill, dropping us back out on familiar firetrack.
Threatening grey skies gave way to sunshine and we enjoyed our cafe lunch al fresco.
Well done to Ross for showing us some great trails, and Nick for providing the technical support!!
Yeah, a good run out on Saturday. It's great fun in the forest, any of you who have an old MTB in the garage, but usually ride out on the road should give it a try with us one weekend.
great route and great turnout – thanks again to nick and ross
