Just want to say thanks to Graham for another great weekend to Llanberis. A busy one with lots of punctures and what not. Moving back to the craft centre was a good move and the hotel was great.
Thanks to everyone who drove and helped and those who I sat in the wheels of along the way. Descending lined out down the Sportsman in the snow will always be in my memory. Proper Band of Brothers. 😀
Yes, thanks in particular to Graham and Ann for all the organisation and support. Also to Dave Hinde and everyone else who was there to help us all have a great weekend.
Good to see Jed in his Quest on the way back supporting us through Chester
Thanks Rich. You all looked remarkably fresh after your adventure - well done to you all.
My first trip to Llanberis with the club, it was an amazing experience, special thank to Graham & Ann for all their hard work, and the people who i spent many a mile with over both days, in particular, the Underwoods, the Campbells, Chris Gregory & Pete Williams. Bring on next year 😀
Massive thanks to Graham for this weekend. Big effort beyond the call of duty, especially:
1. The lead out with fresh legs on the descent down the from the Sportsmans and to the hotel.
2. Jumping out of the van on the climb from Betwys-y-Coed when me and Alan were swapping inner tubes as my tyre was deflating, giving me his front wheel so we could crack on, then appearing at the cafe with my wheel fully repaired :). Made the pain of the return leg less painful(ish).
Graham and Anne, it's great that this club has people like you. I suspect that not many of us has any idea of the work that goes into a weekend like this.
Thank you to you, Dave, Steve and Karen, the confidence knowing there was support was immense (although the lure of the van was beckoning strong at Cerig....Forrest.) Thanks for the wheel and fixing my puncture. I am definitely up for it next year, (and promise i'll by two stone lighter)
Jim
Just like to reiterate the thanks for a great weekend's riding. I am sure Syd " 4 punctures" appreciated the eye you kept on the duetto lanterns rouge as much as I did. Just don't understand why we needed to stop at Llanberis it would be a great day ride 😉
Plans are now afoot to add a 200k for to add to next year's Ron Sant weekend
Many thanks for a great weekend to all who helped and encouraged me, especially Graham and Ann for organising the event and providing roadside support, Steve for lending me his wheel, Derek for his never ending patience and endless supply of bike spares (I can't imagine what else he has in that bag) and Jim for his lively banter and making me laugh.
Yes BIG thanks to Graham & Ann as always plus Dave in the van, Karen & Andy .

Alan, you did a great turn yourself yesterday to take us to the bottom of the Rainbow climb - that was a tremendous effort
I could only be with you in spirit, but lots of clapping and cheering for the Gregorys
and all the support crew! I noticed from all the photos, that the only rider smiling was Eleanor! Give that girl a medal! 🙂
Photos? Give me a clue where to look ❓
Aha, Derek, that's why you need to be on Facebook. (But you might regret it!). Ady, any chance of us asking Andy Boyle, Lynsey and Elaine if we can put their photos up on the gallery for non face bookers?
In the meantime...thanks from Kev and me too...to the Gregorys, Dave Hindes, and the Boyles for fantastic support. Also to all the people I rode with during the course of the weekend for their good company and bad jokes (Richard C and Garry you know who you are). To Jules for booking the table at the curry house for Sunday night..sorry you missed it Jules! And to my domestique Kev...and the bloke in the red hat (sorry I don't know your name) for that little push at the bottom of the climb out of Ruthin yesterday, which moved me nicely past Steve Thomas!!!
That was such a great weekend, I've been re-living it all day.
P.s. Claire thanks for noticing. My new years resolution has been to try and smile on photos of me cycling. I was fed up of always looking like I was dying! I still can't work out how Victoria P can ride her bike so fast and not even look a little distressed...
