Shouldn't be too mad just around 65 miles but a couple of hilly bits as you head up from Congleton on the way there

Just reading in the comic that not only Team Sky are back but Liquigas featuring Evan Basso, Greenedge and Garmin-Sharp! Biiiig!

Vacansoleil are back, hope they bring de Gendt.

Fantastic. Be good if the weather is as clear as last year for that stage. 🙂

Bit of playing around on my lunch break. Weather permitting I'm thinking of this route to Gun Hill. It's a nice ride but gets pretty tough after Congleton. The final half follows a route I did in the Cheshire Cat sportive which was brilliant, and will take us right to the bottom of Gun Hill going up the same direction as the pros will be doing later on.

... as long as we get there in time for the race!! We'll have to consult the schedule closer to the time...

Well looking on ze website, it says they will be at Gun Hill for around 1.15pm. Obviously will keep tabs on that but I say a set off time around 10 will be good to get us there before they close the road and get some atmosphere in.

For anyone interested by the way, stage 2 on Tuesday passes through Chelford and Knutsford. There is a sprint in Chelford at 12.30 and they'll be at Knutsford at 12.40.

Sounds even more like a plan... We'll do that!

I'm up for this. I've the day off work so it would be a great way to spend it. Are we meeting at the legion?

We'll arrange times and places to meet nearer the time. I was thinking of meeting at Dukes of Portland but the Northwich division could do a meet at the Legion beforehand.

A Tour of Britain ain't the Tour of Britain without Chris Buckley in his spots!
