I called around to see Keith this afternoon. He seemed in good spirits. It's almost 4 weeks since his accident and for those who don't know, it was a serious one.., he broke his right shoulder in four places and fractured his right hip too. He had all his injuries operated on at the same time which is testament to his fitness (the surgeons wouldn't have done this if they were in any doubt).

Keith is making good progress. He can now walk short distances although his right leg is causing some concern - he is having difficulty bending it and the thigh muscles are very tight. Mobility in his shoulder is very limited at the moment but physiotherapy is beginning to help with this.

I was pleased to find that Keith is now looking forward to the day when he can get back on his bike.

Keith was very keen for me to relay his genuine thanks and appreciation to all members who've shown concern and of course, a big thanks to all those who've visited him.

I have a feeling that we'll see Keith back to his old form later this year but it's going to be hard and I know that continued support from club members will help greatly.

Keith it is good hear you are making progress. Keep plugging away at the physio and you will get there. On the way back from Llanberis I met Cliff, who had his knee done 10 weeks ago, and he's out and about. There will be ups and downs but listen to the doctors and physios and do your bit and the bike will be ready when you are.
