Ok right here we go: the plan is to meet at THE DUKES OF PORTLAND pub, Lach Dennis at 10.30am. This will then give us a couple of hours to get to Gun Hill before they close the roads, get a good spot and get the atmosphere in. It also gives some contingency time in case there is a puncture and a chance to fill bottles at Congleton Garden Centre if needed on the way.

I'd like to ask that everyone (other than Chris Buckley, and for those who didn't see him in his atire last year I won't spoil the surprise) wears club kit. It's a great opportunity to show off the colours of the club, hopefully on national TV.

I would like the ride to be relaxed and easy, it should be a good day out on the bike together having a laugh at a nice easy pace.

The ride is about 30 miles and once we hit Congleton it does get very lumpy (in fact I hate the climb out of Congleton, it is never ending), we'll try to re-group as much as possible. Hopefully all being well afterwards we could call in at Astbury Garden Centre on the way home but no official plans.

Good man.

For those who don't know where the Duke of Portland is (I'm sure there won't be many!), see: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&cp=20&gs_id=2b&xhr=t&q=duke+of+portland+pub&safe=off&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.&biw=1378&bih=887&wrapid=tljp1346332695784036&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wl

Lets hope the weather is good!

That will give me a couple of hours in the office before I meet you at the Duke's. There should be a few smiles at work as I'm not getting changed!

I'm sure it will split up. It's not the easiest climb. It's Gun Hill by the way and you did it on the Cheshire Cat!

I am going to have to give tomorrow a miss. I had the day booked off but a big project I'm involved in has made other plans. Gutted!

Have a good day everyone. I hope the weather is a lot better than today's. I'll watch the highlights and look out for you guys on TV.
