I would like to thank Vince today for giving up going on the long run to lead the short run instead!

He did a great job. He set a steady pace suitable for everyone and took us down some roads I'd never even been on enroute to Holt.

We went via Tarvin, Waverton, Saighton (where we saw Alan Kemp attacking off the front on the final lap of his race) Farndon and onto Holt.

It was beautiful sat eating lunch looking out over the hills, we had to drag ourselves away to head home!!!

A steady ride back through Tattenhall, Beeston and Tarporley saw me finish with 61 miles and home by 2:30 only to find myself locked out!! Forgot my key 🙄

This was a lovely ride and it was nice to chat with some of the new riders I hadn't met before. 🙂

How did the long run get on?

Long run headed for the Cat and Fiddle. When we got to the top you could not see anything due to the low cloud cover.

We headed down to Blaze Farm where I deserted the group to sit outside to do some networking with another project manager 🙂 Due to this my order did not arrive and I had to face the wrath of the lady on the kitchen for not sitting where I said I would be. So much for customer service.

Finished off with 66 miles on the clock and noticed that Colin was heading towards 50 mph at one point - with my useless descending speed I could not get close!

Great day and thanks to Tony for leading out.

That is terrible Paul. I hope you are going to lodge a complaint with the management. The 'Kitchen lady' should have guessed you'd be outside 'networking'! I don't know what the World is coming to!
