Just want to say thanks to Craig for a top run over to Pott Shrigley. I think we went down every lane possible taking in 45 miles before the cafe. By the time I got home I had 75 miles on the clock. Good, easy pace, mainly flat but a few challenging hills thrown in but nothing heavy, perfect for those wanting longer, slower miles over the Winter. Mid point between short and long it most certainly is and well done to Craig for taking it on.

I'll see you all next week for a spot of cyclocross.

Mmm. Tried that today on the club run. Didn't really work. Although the diversion onto the verge wasn't exactly planned in Morley Lane, but a pot hole diverted me slightly, so it seemed the sensible thing to do. Thoughts about whether I would save it became vocal, but by completely avoiding he brakes and letting the bike decide, I eventually made it back on to the asphalt!

That was the most exciting thing that happened on the short run (well for me anyway)!

A couple of chain drops by others, no punctures to mention, and an early exit from the cafe by Grandad Graham to zip off to see his new granddaughter!

Otherwise, a fine short run in excellent weather gave me 72 miles by the time I got home which probably meant about a 48 mile run from Hartford-Tattenhall-Hartford.

Another good ride from the run-meister Alan. 🙂
