Thanks to everyone for their help today trying in vain to get my bike going again 😉 , it is now in TRACS awaiting major surgery, don't think it will be covered by Bupa! 😆

It was just my luck as it was a great ride up until then.

I hope the rest of the ride remained incident free.

Jim

Was it worse than mine jim? And is your bike as broken as mine? Haha and I hope the commando roll was not as good as mine if you needed to do one. Am I allowed to come on a mountain ride again after my night ride haha 🙂 hope you all had fun and you are ok Jim and if I am allowed I will come again soon, once my bike is well again 🙂

Don't worry, nothing too exciting, no injuries (or front rolls, that said Les, it wasn't dark or else their could have been).
Just got my rear dérailleur mangled in the back wheel, it snapped of the mounting and twisted the chain big style! The guys tried to get me going on a fixed gear, but the chain was all over the place, had to push it back from primrose hill. 🙁

Sounds like we'll soon need an off-road version of the wobbly wheel award fro the best and most artistic 'get-off'. I only managed an over the handlebars roll into some soft heather on Wednesday evening on the Isle of Mull. No damage to the bike though, just a nasty jab into my calf as my cleat unclipped and the pedal dug-in. Would have looked good though... 🙄

Copy cat, but how many witnesses did you have haha and poor Heather 🙂 come on guys I managed riding 20 miles on my wobbly wheel after the event on a very trashed bike, the award needs to be mine surely or we need a commando roll competition 🙂 haha, hope you had a good holiday Ady

No witnesses, so not a valid entry I guess. I can only prove that I was there from self timered shots of me:[attachment=1:3q19ldpk]MullJun12_20120606_011-1.jpg[/attachment:3q19ldpk]

..and yes, a fantastic time, fantastic weather (unlike most of the rest of the UK!).
