Dec2010 006.jpg[/attachment:3jz0hacw]That's a shame Paul, it's a great area with some super tracks. Meet for 10am start from the main car park, just west of the A624 and north of A6015 at GR869035

Just Kev, Tim and I, but a superb ride across to Hope. We set off up a gruelling climb to Rushup Edge via the Roych, then Mam Tor followed by a very steep descent from Hollins Cross to the Edale Valley. 20141122_115951.jpg[/attachment:1gkcohvj]

Although very wet, many of the tracks are rocky so shed the water, but there were still a few muddy sections to contend with.

From the valley we climbed again up to Hope Cross via Jaggers Clough . Along the ridge before descending to lunch in Hope.

As daylight was in short supply for the return we headed back to Edale via Jagers Clough again but then we had to humour Kev who is convinced that it is possible to ride up Jacob's Ladder. He made it about 30 yds, but Tim had already set a new WVCC record of 40 yds. Of course those 29" wheels just iron out all the rocks. Past Edale Cross and Oaken Clough to a very rocky and gravelly descent back into Hayfield before it was even dark and a well deserved pint.
