Great day and great race. Shame about the crash Elaine was happy for the help from the Junior Doctor that was racing.
Fantastic to see Chas out and about 🙂
Much sooner watch the ladies race than the men 😉
Who won? 😮
Motorpoint rider Lucy Garner and Hannah Rich 2nd from Horizon Fitness.
Lots of love on Twitter for us, all the pros saying how good a race it was.
Some comments which I got back directly:
Sarah Byrne: it was a great race, shame it was shortened, big thanks to all you marshalls and organisers 🙂 I'll be back next year
Sarah Byrne: great race at the Cheshire Classic...really enjoyed it!
Ceri Dipple: massive thanks to Weaver Valley CC for organising todays race, really well run and even got driven around the course beforehand!
Sarah Storey: great race to be part of, lots of aggressive riding and fast ladies out there.
This lady has also done a nice blog about it too

I will add my thanks to all involved today, especially to Alan who just gets on with what's required. We have had praise from top BC officials today. Another first class Weaver Valley promotion. Well done everyone.
Great race today despite the tacks and subsequent crash/delay.

Sarah Storey has done a nice blog about the race too http://www.horizonfitnessrt.com/horizon-fitness-rt-start-the-uk-racing-season/
"Despite the problems in the race, none of which could have been planned for, the race was as ever brilliantly run by Weaver Valley with lots of brilliant volunteers marshalling on all junctions of the course. There’s nothing more reassuring for a rider than seeing the marshals standing in the road and waving the race through. A big thanks to them once again and a speedy recovery to those who came down."
News of the two girls taken to hospital. Neither were detained. Fern Cotterill is back in South Wales with a fractured elbow which may need pinning and will be out of action for a few weeks. Kimberley Ashton missed her flight back to Jersey eventually reaching home on Monday, she has a fractured arm together with a black eye and bumps and bruises.
Both girls dont remember much about the incident and their familes would like more information in order to pursue insurance claims against the motorist involved who fled the scene. Has anyone got any more info?
