Not heard from any of them since we left. They arranged a pickup and we were 30 miles from home with the sun fading fast, and a severe lack of lights, so we had to get going once they had a rescue sorted, very kindly from a friend of Bruce's. He proper saved the day today.
It was very bad roads today. All the way home. Damn farmers. Authorities need to do something about the state of the roads and hold them accountable for cleaning up.
Hope all involved are not too seriously damaged. It's not a Tshirt we want to wear but sadly it happens. Hope recoveries are swift.
All three got up afterwards, but Carol in particular seemed in some pain and was unable to ride home. Good thing they got a lift sorted. Hope you are all doing ok and back on the bikes soon. Pete.

I hope it's not a broken arm Carol! Felt bad leaving you guys, but as Kris mentioned light was fading and we were getting nervous, got back with about 10 mins of light left. Hope you're all ok and got back safely too.

Double fracture of the elbow. Carol is currently waiting for an op at Leighton.
