..and here we are in a new decade, and back to the social event you have all been looking forward to!
Our club dinner is on Saturday 1st February 2020 at 19:00.
This year we’re at the Winnington Park Recreation Club, and it’ll be a great evening with the usual chance to socialise whilst we’re washed and clothed normally.
This year, we have asked Carl Lawrenson to join us as our special guest. For those who don’t know Carl, well, you probably do if you’ve been anywhere near the road racing scene in the last 20 odd years!

Carl has officiated, organised and commentated on racing at all levels both here and abroad, and we like to think of him as a friend of the club, especially as he gave us a shout out from the commentary car on the 2019 Tour of Britain! It’s not Carl’s first club dinner, but we are honoured to have him as our guest.
We’re sure Carl will have a few stories for us…!
Also, to acknowledge all of the great work that he’s done for us over the years as a past member and as a coach, we’ve invited Paul West to join us as an honoured guest. Paul has given up his own time on many occasions to train us on the track, and you don’t get a better session than being trained by Paul!
Always good night, with great food, a bar, trophy and award presentations, and plenty of laughs. Bring along your husbands/partners/wives and show them that we are indeed normal (some of the time)!
Tickets are priced at £25.00 and any under the age of 14 £10.
You can pay for your tickets by cheque made payable to Weaver Valley Cycling Club, cash – to Graham Gregory, or by bank transfer, using a reference of your surname+DIN (so, if your surname is Jones, use the reference JonesDIN) so that we can make sure that we have your payment.
I have emailed the club members with the bank account details, rather than post them here to ensure security.
