Gary Date sends the following message from the Lakes: I am going to start getting ready for the Fred Witton ( I wanna get sub 9 hours) I know I am already entered, plus my flat is a good base point for training loops etc. I’m sure we all wish him well…

And an Underhill confession: were we the only ones who heard the wind and rain driving on our bedroom windows at 9 a.m. this morning and decide to bury a bit deeper under the quilt and pretend it wasn’t a club run morning? By 10.15 the rain had stopped and then we felt guilty about not having gone out on the club run (well I felt guilty, Kevan doesn’t do guilt because he’s a man). So in lieu of 3 x Our Fathers and a Hail Mary we went to Llandegla, where despite 40mph+ winds the car park was almost full, and we did the black run, which was great fun. If anyone turned up for the club run, hats off to you: tell Richard or me about it and we’ll post a report on the blog.

Eleanor.
