Well, it was certainly a cool day, with a harsh chilling wind to start, and dry-ish conditions, albeit heavy going for the riders.

The biggest entertainment, and certainly the most technical part of the course, which favoured the faster and fitter, was a small and unassuming little chicane, up a gentle slope.

By the time that this had some traffic through it, this part of the course became what could only be described as ‘gloop’,

Thick, sticky churned up turf and soil, just damp enough to stop the fittest and strongest riders in their tracks!

Big thanks to Matt Horby, our organiser, who, yet again, did a flawless job of putting this together.

Thanks also to all the helpers, from the NWCCA guys, to those from other clubs, and most of all, to the superb WVCC helpers. Your help was very, very much appreciated, and we couldn’t do it without you.
