Pear Tree Pedal – 22nd April – 8 miles – http://www.goskyride.com/Search/Details?eventid=39511

This is an extremely picturesque ride along country lanes and farm tracks. It is suitable for any type of bike including hybrids. There are stunning views over the River Weaver, interesting railway bridges and a viaduct harking back to our industrial heritage.

In Spring, daffodils, rabbits, geese, lambs and blossom trees abound! Later in the year there are hazelnuts to be found, but this is my secret. We meander along the scenic byways until we nearly get to Kingsley, and then we increase the pace downhill all the way to Acton Bridge.

Tea and cake will be served at the trendy Hangman’s Gate Pub who are renowned as a gastropub friendly to cyclists.
