Has anyone got any tips for turbo training? I'm fairly new to the club and trying to keep my fitness up.

Not been on a club ride for a few weeks cos of work and weather :((

Lol. Thanks Phil.

1 turbo trainer - check.

I need some training plans. Might see you at the cycle jumble tomorrow and I can pick your brains then 😉

There are stacks of training plans out there, but it depends on what your aims are.

Here's an old link with some tips:

Ignore any Lance Armstrong references. EPO is not required.

Also, more recent:

Loads of others just for the Googling.

If you go on the Tacx web site, they have loads:

Although they are designed for Tacx trainers, the plans can be adapted most trainers.

Then, if you are getting really bored on e turbo, and need something to keep your interest, and give you a training program based on 'perceived' effort, go to The Sufferfest.

http://www.thesufferfest.com/

Very entertaining videos, that make the sessions go a bit quicker and give you something to watch and listen to. You need a laptop/PC/tablet or something to play them on as they are downloads.

Other than that there are loads of training DVDs available. Just a search away.

Thanks Ady, I'll give them a look. My aim is to get stronger for climbing and I'm sure I'll find something in there.
