Now that the training rides are turning in to a steady ride, does anyone fancy continuing a fast ride to the Mills and back on Saturday mornings? 😀

Nige,

Why do you want to do fast miles in the winter (What are you training for?). The winter Saturday rides have always been long and steady(but not slow). It's been the same since i joined the club steady until the New Year and we start ramping it up for Llanberis.

Hi Jules,
Since you advertised the ride as steady I assumed the pace was too slow, as did other members.
We did 55 miles at an average of 15 mph.
This is too slow for me, especially as I only have a limited time to train.
I appreciate the way the Saturday rides are run. I am not looking to change the rides.
I will just go off on my own, if no one else wants to join me.
I like your structured rides, unfortunately I do not have the time.
Regards Nigel

Understand Nige.

The reason i said steady was to try and stop people sprinting off up hills etc. Winter cycling is hard enough so keeping a group together makes it slightly easier. Some of the rides will be around the 80 mile mark.
