A husband and wife are riding along on a tandem, when suddenly, the husband, who's on the front, slams on the brakes, gets off and starts letting air out of the front tire.

The wife says: "HEY! What are you doing that for!?"

The husband says: "Ride was a bit too rough, wanted to soften it a bit."

Two minutes later, he slams on the brakes again, jumps off and lowers his saddle.

The wife says, now getting irate: "HEY! Now what are you doing!?"

The husband says, "My seat was too high and was hurting my bum. I wanted to lower it a bit."

So the wife has had enough. She jumps off, loosens her own seat and spins it round to face the other direction.

Now it's the husband's turn to wonder what's going on. "What are you doing?" he asks.

"Look" says the wife, "if you're going to do stupid stuff like that, I'm going home!!"
