Big thank you to Craig for today's ride, fantastic route, great company, and the weather wow. Anyone know how many feet we climbed? Who needs the Cheshire Cat and free! Though not pain free.
Cheers Craig regards Nigel

My gps says a little over 4800 ft, really enjoyed today, great camaraderie, stunning views and cracking weather, can't ask for more. No thanks needed it was totally self indulgent

Didn't come on the club run today as I had a lie in due to the clocks changing. Left the house at 10am and found a great route around the lanes round Whitchurch. Went over a little climb through Wirswall (rough surface but lovely lane with superb views), then down hill to Marbury and on to Wrenbury. Then followed the lanes past Cholmondley Castle to Harthill, Tattenhall, Tarvin, Stamford Bridge, Dunham on the Hill, Frodsham, Dutton, Home. 78 miles in 4H14mins non-stop and back in time to watch the Malaysian Grand Prix. Marbury looked like a perfect place for a cafe stop, but unfortunately no cafe. However there was a very inviting pub near the mere.

I saw a load of cyclists with numbers on the handlebars between Harthill and Tattenhall so maybe this was the Cheshire Cat, but nobody seemed to be smiling!! 😀 Saw Lou between groups but don't know if he was in it, or just caught up in it on the way to the Ice Cream farm.
