can anyone tell me in layman's terms how you put an image on a post? thanks

Yeah sure...
1) First click on the "host an image" button
2) Upload your image from your PC
3) Copy the "image" HTML link which is the middle line. I press copy and also do a right click and copy too.
4) Simply then paste the link into the post window like writing a post.
