Well we made it!
Arrived at Tynemouth Sunday afternoon having averaged about 10mph - large ice creams all round. A bigger challenge than we imagined due to the number of climbs and the heat! Energy bars and gels kept us going, and several pieces of chocolate cake along the way for James. A great sense of acheivement.
As you would imagine James was the first one to the top of each climb, and the youngest person on the route by at least 10 years.
James has so far raised over £300 for the Joshua Tree charity www.justgiving.com/James-Risk . Thanks for all your kind donations.

Great effort, well done Andrew and James: two messages for James 1. when you're racing for the Sky team in 10 years' time pls. remember us all and 2. when you're racing for the Sky team in 10 years' time just bear in mind that they won't let you eat chocolate cake!
