I heard someone shout my name today near the pub on mow cop.
I have no idea who it was as I did lookin time.
Whoever it was, thank you, it helped me up the hill!!
..couldn't have been another Kris or Chris then.....! Anyhow, thought your granny gear helped you up...
Sorry, couldn't resist! 🙂
You were off like a rocket fella - missing the first feed station etc, you must have bagged a good time. I came in at a leisurely 6:59:17. A Bronze. Just like Chris (another one) Hoy.
🙂

You were motoring along at a good pace. Yeah, it was a great day. Got quite a few 'come on Wever Valley' shouts from the side of the road, even from one of the photographers...
And young James looking like he was going well... http://www.flickr.com/photos/robcrayton/5564737718/in/set-72157626363290304/

Feel surprisingly spritely today in the legs - which must mean that I didn't try hard enough(!) despite the joys of Mow Cop and Barlow Hill - looking forward to my own pain photographs from SportivePhoto when they're published!!
Did take it easy on the last 15 miles though 1) due to a nice puncture - which I had to stop and re-pump when I should have just changed the inner and 2) 'cos I was cream-crackered!
You and Dan made an excellent trip round, despite Dan bringing a weeks worth of supplies with him in the rucksack!!
Always best to be prepared!! Tho I did tell him there wud be plenty of supplies on route but if it makes him happy!!! And he did carry my food too bless him!!!
Today's commute was a real killer! But there's no better way of getting the toxins out.
Oh, all the photos are on sportivephoto.
My number is 1511 if you want to have a laugh!!

Not sure about the carnage behind him though ...
