as no one has taken it upon them selves to start a chain gang, and no mention has really been said. i have taken it upon my-self to look at starting one on a thursday night. which yes does land on the same nights as the warrington one however for those who are based around northwich you may think like me its hard to get to the warrington one on time. so im looking at setting off at 6.30 meeting at 6.15 then heading up out towards weaverham and cutting right and down to the main road. follow the main road for a while where we will turn left onto northwich road (A553) at the end of which we will turn right and proceed down that road till we come to another junction where again we will turn right onto grimsditch lane. proceeding down there until we reach the main road where we will turn right and then short after left onto raddel lane. where the roads become very familiar as i work round there. proceed to the end of bentleys farm lane turning right onto a busyish road and then soon after a left through into antrobus where anyone who is struggling can take a shortcut and a breather and the rest will do a nice loop round antrobus. then coming back through comberbach past cheshire riding school. proceeding through barnton where theres a nice little downhill left hander, right at the traffic lights and then right again at the next traffic lights. past moss farm. and for those of you who cant be bothered reading my directions, heres the url http://www.google.com/map s"> http://www.google.com/maps let me know if it takes you to the route or not. also let me know if interested or if route is too busy?
Thanks, Titch
anyone want to suggest alternate route to this as i have done part of it on the way home and some of the roads were too busy to contemplate getting a group of around 8 to 15 riders on working through and off will try think of another better route. but in the mean time if anyone can suggest one? and lets give it a propper go at getting a chain gang going?
I'm interested in this Titch, mate.
different route but me and andy apansionok are doing a nice 35/40 mile route on tuesdays and thursdays 🙂 welcome to come just get to hartford british legion at around 6.15 and we will set off around 6.20 wont be having any sort of break so make sure you have a flapjack or something and maybe a gel or something going. starting this tuesday mate 🙂
Yeah, me and Titch will be doing that route once or twice a week. So as Titch said, if anyone fancies a fastish ride then feel free to join us. The route takes us past Outlon Park to Beeston Castle. We can also extend it on the day depending on how everyone feels and go up to Harthill to get a bit of a hill workout too 🙂
not gunna be out this week i have picked up a virus and after it sapping my energy when we went over to pott shrigley i dont much fancy doing a training ride. and also i think andy you are going to wales tuesday arent you? so tuesday we wont be doing one and maybe thursday too unless this stupid virus has gone.
