Just to be a shameless name-dropper i shook the hand and had a (faltering French) conversation with Bernard Hinault on Sunday. He was my big hero and inspiration when i was a kid so it was fantastic to be able to actually meet him. As Bradley said, dreams do come true...

Wow. Shaking the hand of a legend like the Badger. He was probably the first big tour hero that I admired as a kid, whilst grabbing the brief 1/2 hour tour updates on World of Sport (even before Channel 4 took up the mantle!) on a Saturday.

One hell of a name drop there Jon. Have you read Slaying the Badger by Richard Moore? Brilliant read into the guy and his battle with Lemond. Well worth the read.
