Just getting fit again from surgery in Januay and got knocked off by tractor on A50 on friday. Tractor overtook me with trailer with virtually no room and then cut back in too soon. wallop..
Fractured pelvis, black and blue shoulder, broken fingers, stitches, blah blah blah 🙄 Think I'm going to get a decent home trainer for during the week and keep off the roads....

Be careful out there guys, there are some real selfish idiots about. I think helmet cams would be a great idea, but that would only help after the event I suppose...

Hope to see you soon, fingers crossed...

Take care, Karl 😉

Thankfully he stopped and came back later in his car and said he was sorry. The Traffic Officer saw me in A&E said the the guy was genuinely mortified. Maybe he'll give us a bit more room (rather that none at all) next time.

I don't know whether its me, but seems its gettibg like the wild west out there 😡

It could have been a lot worse, I got off lightly considering I saw the trailer wheels pass by when I was on the deck 😯

When I get back I'll give the track a go instead I think. No tractors on there 😆

Keep getting the miles in, and take care,

Karl

Hope you recover quick and back out with us soon. I nearly got taken out by a young girl in a corsa today. To fast on wet roads!!! Gave her a lot of grief!!

Couldn't work out why crutches were hurting shoulder...

Went to GP today who sent me for another x-ray. We can also add fractured collarbone to the list. Hopefully thats it... 😀

Blimey Carl that sounds horrendous - and you were doing so well! That all sounds very painful but you don't seem to have lost your sense of humour. How long were you in hospital for? Anyway all the best for a speedy recovery from Kevan and me, we're thinking of you.

sense of humour retained... although jokes are pretty cr'..p. sorry 🙄

Hospital for 4 days.

Food was better than I cook at home so acted sore to try and stay in as long as possible. Eventually sussed me and chucked me out. 😥

Collarbone sorest. Anyone any idea how long before I'll be able to ride again ? I've really no idea. I suppose pelvis will take a while as well..

Anyways, thanks for all the sentiments, and it looks as though you'll hve a good day today and tomorrow. SUNS OUT !!

Be careful out there !!

Carl

Been out of action for a few weeks and just catchin up on what's goin' on . You have had some really bad luck over the last few months. I guess the pelvis will be you main concern. I have no doubt you will be back on 2 wheels before too long. Good luck with the rehab.sunny:
