Hi,

I'm thinking of coming down and joining one of your Sunday club runs. I live local to Hartford and have seen a number of cyclists out and about wearing the club kit.

Is it just a case of turning up, joining a group and having a go?

I've been cycling for about 3 years doing ~40 mile rides, mostly on my own so it seems like a good idea to join a cycling club.

I can't make next weekend but think i should be able to make it on the 22nd January. Do I need to make myself known to anyone when I turn up?

Cheers,

John

Hi John,

Yes, just turn up on a Sunday morning at the British Legion at 10am (until the clocks change, then it's 09:30).
We are a friendly bunch, so just introduce yourself when you turn up!
There are usually 2 runs on a Sunday (a long and a short run), and if you've been doing 40 mile runs yourself, you'll be fine, certainly on the short run.
We ride out, usually finding quiet lanes, have a cafe stop (so bring your lunch money), then return, often varying the route home.
Hopefully see you there, ready and willing, on a Sunday morning soon!

Cheers
