Bet there was some nice scenery out at Loggerheads today? We had a really good day in the saddle on the short run too - Al chose a really nice route through amazing some countryside both there and back. The new cafe was really good too - good service and food. Cheers Al!

Blimey that was a hard ride today, I'm really proud of myself for keeping up with you all.
Ali, if you're reading this - you were an absolute star, I know I shouldn't enjoy your predicament, but I've been chuckling about it all day! I hope the footballers (and your poor wife) forgave you!

A great write up Eleanor thank you. A brilliant day again yesterday; thanks to everyone for the company. Thanks to Craig to the excellent and somewhat challenging route - i keep on thinking i know the roads but then Craig unearths routes i've never even thought of. When you all stopped at the cafe i went to Ruthin via Moel Famau and back, it took 45 mins & I was sure i'd be back in time before you left. Alas no and so i chased to beyond Mold & if it wasn't for seeing Chris in the distance who'd been held up at a junction and going after him then latching on to the back of the group i'd have been on my lonesome all the way home. I did 109 miles yesterday with about 5,500 feet of climbing. I obviously bit off more than i could chew as i was running on completely empty for the last 15 miles. Apologies to anyone i was grumpy with; it's strange what delirium does to you! See you all again soon.

In a sick sort of way I was just pleased to see someone who was suffering more than me

I can barely walk!

How about you?

You know, to add to my woes I now have a very bruised left hip. As our friend Ali got going after his puncture on that steep hill he was in far too big a gear & fell off as he was trying to clip in. I'd only just clipped in & was going 0 miles an hour when i turned around to see him falling only for me to fall over as well.

The only consolation was nobody saw me although now i've gone and told everyone anyway.

My legs have definitely fell out with me!
The worse thing is I've got to teach bodypump which means squats and lunges, ouch!!! Don't think I'll be walking later!
You must be feeling great then! Oh the joys of riding a bike! But we love it really! Hope you've recovered for next week!

Oh poor John! Hope you feel better soon. Mind you, my sympathy is reserved for your hip, as for your tired legs you only have yourself to blame, lunch is clearly preferable to extra miles!
Also I've just realized I let you off lightly in my blog, in recalling the incident with Ali, I completely forget about your suggestion that you wanted to get moving because "I can't stand around here all day lactating!"

Perhaps the reason i found it so difficult later in the day was all the time i'd spent lactating earlier on??

Nice big bruise on my left knee has come out overnight.
