We're off to this recently extended, brilliant trail centre. If you're experienced and fancy some superb singletrack meet down there for 10am start. See the calendar for more info.

This was the poster on the wall at the trail centre cafe - they obviously knew Kempie was with us, accompanied by Tim, Steve M, Kev C and me. It stayed dry just long enough for us to get round the excellent Monkey trail which was just as good as we remembered it. Lunch at the cafe before the shorter Follow the Dog trail in the rain. Fantastic flowing singletrack trails for much of the way and twisty sections through the forest kept the concentration at 100%. Great fun and good training too. Delamere next weekend.

Brilliant day out at Cannock Chase on Saturday. Sweeping single track, climbs etc, it had everything .Plus the company was great and a good cafe as well which we visited twice !.
The rain only caught up with us after lunch but that did not stop us doing another ride with Nick pushing me to the limit of my technical abilities!
Really he was just doing his thing while I tried hard to keep up.
Inside a well stocked Swinnerton`s bike shop at the centre , I was able to catch up with the owner Mark Swinnerton about our epic training rides together in the late 70s . Tim did some leisurely shopping , trying on half the garments in the shop whilst Mark and I tried to catch up on all the years since we last met.
Excellant riding by Steve Marlow who is getting fitter and more skillful every ride!

Thanks to Nick , Steve Tim and Kev for a great day out . Glad Kev eventually found the start /meeting
point!!

Alan
