This is the access page for an archive of forum entries. The forum iteslf is no longer available for new content. New social based chat is available on the club Facebook group.
As planned, I intend to carry out some work to this forum from midnight this evening for a few hours. This will mean that I will begin to disable all forum services - including reading and posting, from 22:00 tonight (07/04/2012).
If all goes as planned, the scripts that I will be running overnight, will transfer all history from the site, and transfer it to the new location.
If all does go well, I'll re-enable the forum tomorrow - READ ONLY. That means that no posts will be allowed until the new forum is enabled. I intend to complete that work tomorrow, at which point, I'll post on this forum, and you'll all start to get emails to prompt you for new passwords etc, and a pointer to the new forum will be provided (I'm sure that most of you who use the main web site have already seen where it will live!)
If for any reason, the database creation on the new forum fails, I'll re-enable this forum with full access as before, and re-schedule the transfer.

Unfortunately, the first script exited with a critical failure, which means that the old forum software did not 'play nicely' with the program that I had written. Bit of a shame, as the first pass worked perfectly! That's the nature of software(!)
The forum is now back in operation and you can read and post as normal, and I'll look at a better plan for trying to get the data out. With any luck, I'll schedule this for tomorrow night if all goes well.
