Congrats to Giles Bett who picked up club track champion last night at the Velodrome.
Eleanor Underhill picked up fastest woman, Dave Fearon picked up fastest vet and Connor Fearon picked up fastest junior.
Cheers to Paul West for his help and coaching this season which has been great and thanks to Dave and Caroline for organising it all.
Ha ha, easy to pick up fastest woman when I was the only one riding!!! Come one all you other girlies, where were you?! Seriously though, it was a really enjoyable night, and thanks to Paul, Dave and Caroline for their excellent organisation. Riding the track makes me realise how rarely I put a real effort in when I ride on the road, whereas the track is all about efforts...(even for me, it's all relative after all!!)
Yes, thanks to Dave, Caroline and Paul for organising it - really enjoyed it (in retrospect at least - my throut has just about recovered now) even if I didn't win anything. Well done to smooth pedler Giles, Eleanor, Connor and Dave and of course James who was superb. Great efforts from everyone I saw with Derek and Andy Wood getting really involved and Tim almost getting his scratch race all his own way by going from the gun - only efforts from Peter, Max, the 2 Woodies and El pulling him back for an exciting last 2 laps.
Hope to see a few more next track session in the Autumn.
