Hi Les, congratulations on a great quiz last night, really enjoyed it. I do hope you reconsider and put on another quiz next year!

Great night, and if you don't want to organise it next year I might. (though someone may have to remind me of that, until I received an e-mail from Nick at 7.00pm I'd forgotten all about it !)

Les thank you that was a really good quiz and it was a great way to get everyone together. It's always nice to see what people look like without their helmets on. The best bit was being on the winning team (which felt a bit fraudulent because I didn't know the answers to any questions - but I did contribute to our victory by trying to nod intelligently and I kept my team motivated by telling them how clever they were) so here's to next year (and I'm sure you'll be persuaded to do it next year cos we know you loved doing it really, you just like to be begged!) as long as I can be in the same team as Richard and Chris (and can we have some girl questions please as well as kids' questions - I'll leave you to work out what a girl question looks like!)

P.p.s. I knew we wouldn't win when we got a couple of questions wrong. We thought a photo of Les Charnley was Nicholas Roche (an easy mistake to make) and we guessed the Earl of Chester was John Prescott.....!

Hi Eleanor, Thanks for the above and suggestions, the problem is I fell foul of a girlie question in a pub Quiz recently and lost by one point. The question was:- Where is the most common area that women have curly hair...............................................................apparently the answer was Africa. Any other ideas could be considered, but girlie question, steer clear. Happy Christmas Les ( Girlie question co-ordinator, avoider)
