Hi all,

I have been approached by my old rugby club Winnington Park to help raise money for a little lady called Amelia. You may have seen articles about her in the local paper. Below is a little about her from her Facebook page.

“Amelia Rose Hill was born on the 23/10/2012 with a rare heart condition tetralogy of fallots with absent pulmonary valve, MAPCA, hole in the heart, enlarged right lung artery and missing left lung artery. In January 2014 Amelia had an 8 hour open heart surgery where her heart was stopped for 4 hours to correct the problem. In July 2014, Amelia's parents were given the heartbreaking news that their daughters problem had in fact got worse and that there was now no surgical cure for her. Amelia's condition had become terminal. Whilst she still continues to look a healthy normal toddler, Amelia is a very ill young girl with a big heart for anyone who enters her life. Please support her through these next month’s #ameliasjourney”

John Pickering an old team mate of mine is organising a charity bike ride made up of ex-player, players and friends. It will take place on the 31st August. Our support will come in the way of supporting the ride and donations if you can. All club runs on that day to start at Winnington Park rugby club at Burrows Hill, Hartford. Al and I will lead rides over to the Mills made up of club riders and Winnington Park riders. The long run will do its own thing as normal.

The money raised on the day will help Amelia’s parents organise trips and events so Amelia can experience as much as possible in the time she has left.

Mine and the clubs ask is to turn up on the day have a great time and donate what you can. The rugby club will be putting on a buffet back at the club on our return to Hartford. More importantly the bar will be open!!!!!!!!

I will update on any further information when I get it.

Thanks in advance
Jules
