Twelve brave souls rode the 10 tonight and despite the rain earlier it was dry for the race. The wind was not favourable for this course with a tough headwind on the A50 and this showed as several riders went back on the previous week. However Rhys Edwards and Tom Heaward both scored PB’s so well done in such conditions. Their results put them in 1st and 2nd in the Season Long Guardian Cup handicap competition with Dave Curran in 3rd.
Dave Curran was only slightly slower than last week with his fast 23:49 and took the overall win on the night so leads the season long scratch competition. Colin Carthy took second place with 25:47 and yours truly third with 25:55. Alison Morton was fastest Lady with 30:43.
Look forward to seeing you all next week and no excuses as temperatures are set to rise. Get those points in the bag early as it will be August before you know it and the best way to improve it to ride week in week out.
