Hello festival-goers!

Thank you for signing up to the Pedal Power Festival 2014. With less than a month to go, we thought you might appreciate an update on some the other fun and games we’ve got planned. It would also be wonderful if you could spread the word about this exciting event so please forward this onto your friends and family along with the registration website details (www.entrycentral.com/pedalpower). Remember, all the profits from the ride are going to Northwich charity, The Joshua Tree, so by signing up, you’re also making a difference.

For starters we’ve got a few treats on the ride route itself with areas to pause and enjoy some live music and a creative zone where you can take part in art projects to commemorate the event. In Northwich town centre we’re lucky to have a record breaking BMXer called Matti Hemmings doing displays throughout the day. Even if you’re not into BMX, watching an expert doing acrobatics on a bike is always good! We’ll also have some BMX ramps, and spare gear, so anyone is welcome that wants to have a go. People can bring their own bikes and scooters and give it a try too.

Weaver Valley Cycling Club and North Cheshire Clarion will be on hand so you can find out more about life in a cycling club.  They’re also planning a few activities, including grass track racing for children and spin bike fun. Cheshire Wattbike is coming on the day so you can find out how much pedal power you’ve actually got and Northwich bike manufacturer Dave Hinde will be on hand to give you expert advice on the right bike for you. Dave also has a racing team and plans to run a Beat the Racer spin bike challenge.

The guys from MPA Gym will be along to give tips on fitness and flexibility and there will be a sports therapy and massage clinic with Chris Wood from Your Sports Therapist. There’s so much going on – we’ve not even mentioned the hog roast, cake and even more live music and art yet either!

Now all we need is the weather … but hey, even if it rains we’re just going to throw on our waterproofs and enjoy it anyway!

So spread the word, tell all your friends and family, let’s get loads of people joining in and make the Pedal Power Festival 2014 one to remember.

We look forward to seeing you there!
